Your support is vital in enabling the Piccoli Virtuosi International Music Boarding School to fulfil its mission to provide the highest caliber of artistic education for gifted children regardless of race or financial background.
The Piccoli Virtuosi Association is a Non Profit organisation with Tax Exemption for public utility purposes, created with the objective of supporting and developing cultural life, in particular among children and young people through classical music.
Among the various activities planned are the creation of the “International Piccoli Virtuosi Music Festival” as well as the realisation of free workshops in public schools in the region, auditions for centres for the disabled, retirement homes and the sick in hospitals, in order to bring music to people who, because of their age or their situation, cannot attend concerts. The concerts will be offered by particularly gifted children and young people up to the age of 18; most of them will be free or at low cost.
As part of the festival, masterclasses and workshops led by renowned artists will also be organised. Prizes and distinctions can be given to the most talented children and young people. Scholarships will also be awarded to children and young people residing in the Pays-d’Enhaut and having the potential desire to devote themselves professionally to music, but who do not have sufficient financial means to meet the expenses of music studies.
It does not pursue any profit motive; the Association is apolitical and does not display religious or ideological tendencies. This association is governed by its statutes and for all cases not provided for by articles 60 and following of the Swiss Civil Code. The Cantonal Tax Administration has recognised that the above association pursues an activity which can be considered as of public utility within the meaning of Articles 56, letter g, of the Federal Tax Law federal direct of 14 December 1990 and 90, paragraph 1, letter g, of the cantonal law on cantonal direct taxes of 4 July 2000.
